Installation instructions
The Gemini Plugin is installed in an CVS image in only 2 steps.
- Step 1: Manual installation of the Gemini Wizzard. The Wizzard is already included in our own iCVS images - so you may skip this step.
- Step 2: Execution of the GeminiWizzard and installation of the Gemini Plugin
We recommend:
Original CVS Images from http://dreamboxupdate.com/ <-- OE1.6 or our iCVS image available via Database
Important:
Third party camd or camd-panel must NOT be installed in your image (i.e. CCcam, pimpmyCVS...), only GP-CAMDs!!
Other Plugins which provide a QuickButton functionality must NOT be installed.
The following '"Kernel versions must be'" present in the used image.
- 7025 -> 2.6.12
- 500hd -> 2.6.18
- 800hd -> 2.6.18
- 800se -> 2.6.18
- 8000 -> 2.6.18
Installation of GeminiWizard
With iCVS images is already preloaded of the GeminiWizard and the steps 1-5 can be jumped over.
Esteem before no Softcams in the image insert, only if GP3 is on it and ONLY Gemini-Softcams instal!!!
1. Download image and installation:
As Already on top mentioned we recommend the use of DMM experimental or our in-house iCVS - images.
The installation occurs as usual either by web browser or by DreamUP.

2. Download Gemini Wizard:
you can download the Gemini Wizard here: Download des Gemini3 Wizard (g3wizard)
3. Copy Gemini Wizzard to the Box:
Best of all after "/".
4. install Gemini Wizard with:
Menü -> Einstellungen -> Software -> LokaleErweiterungen... -> InternalFlash -> Erweiterungen Installieren -> Grün
5. Gui restart (this mode is only available in the expert's mode who has put only advancer the box must completely restart)
Alternatively are able your step 2., 3. and 4. join to 1 step, while you combine with Telnet on the box and give the following command:
opkg install http://download.blue-panel.com/gemini3/g3wizard_0.13-r1_mipsel.ipk
Installation of GeminiPlugin
From here for all images.
Blue -> Gemini3Wizard -> Install-GeminiPlugin
There are 2 options
- Installation with all Gemini Plugins (required ones cannot be removed later)
- Installation without Gemini Plugins (Manual postinstallation about the Blue-Panel Addon server possibly)
Dreambox restart automatic when finish with installation.
Now Gemini should be installed
Camds can be integrated about blue-> Addons-> GeminiCamds.
Rest should be selfexplicatory or also not. :)
