Samba - What is this?
Samba is a free Software-suite that makes available the Server-Message-Block-Protocoll (SMB) to UNIX-systems. This protokoll also sometimes is called as Common Interface File System (CIFS), Lan-Manager, or NetBios-protocoll. Samba is needed to make your Dreambox available on your Windows PC as a network drive.
